How can you have so much cute into one photo session??!! I did it today! These 2 boys are soooo adorable!! And the cake smash always makes it better! He wasn't too sure about the icing on his hands though. He went in for a few tastes and then wanted to get it off his hands...quick! But he was a trooper and stuck in there and we got some great shots!! Brother got some great shots too...even in this HEAT! Great time with these little brothers.....
One of the most awesome weddings I have done!!! I loved dressing up for the wedding. It was so much fun and all the details....I couldn't get enough!! Very awesome day with awesome friends!! Thanks for letting me be a part of your day...very appreciated!
I recently got the chance to shoot an engagement session for this wonderful couple. These 2 are the cutest!! They are very sweet and up for anything. Of course, it was nice and hot outside and we got some great shots! Best wishes for many years of happiness!
There have been some amazing, influential women in my life that have taught me some pretty great things. Whether it was how to do a certain thing or how to appreciate myself. Many of my teachers were great influences in my life and telling me I could achieve anything I put my mind to. In light of my mother's birthday yesterday and my sister visiting, I wanted to post about this special lady we met so many years ago that is seriously our rock. She is the most amazing, giving, kind, encouraging, thoughtful, ....I could go on and on.
We met the Bennett family when our mother moved us to Tupman. We didn't have a lot - food, clothes, and money were scarce. Our mother was trying her best. She was pregnant with her 5th child and she was trying to start over. She did as much as she possibly could for us. She had our baby brother in the beginning of May and still continued to try her best. She would go to any of our events we had.
We ran track. Linda was our track coach and she also worked at Elk Hills school where we attended elementary school. She pushed us to be our best in any event we competed in. She had 4 daughters and the younger 3 girls were the exact same age as me and my 2 sisters. Perfect play sisters. We all became great friends and did our track events together and every time I hear Linda's voice, I can hear her yelling at us at those events to encourage us to keep going! And that laugh....It's the best.
Mom went to our track meet and had a horrible headache and still braved the heat to attend. That night, she had left us to hang out with our friends. The day went on and she never came back. We took my baby brother and little sister and all went to stay the night with Linda and her family. The next morning we woke up to someone banging on the door...and with the history with our mom....we had a feeling something was really wrong. She was gone.....Linda & Floyd got us together to tell us our mom had went to live with God.
We were separated that day...I had to go one way, while my brothers and sisters went another. I prayed for the day we could be living in the same house together again. But it didn't happen. Today, we are very close. Thank God.
Linda has always been there for us and so many other children. She has fostered so many kids and made a difference in so many lives. I admire this strong woman for all she does. She is always smiling and always knows the right thing to tell me when I need it. Thank you for the wonderful person you are, Linda. You really are an inspiration to so many. Love you.
We braved the heat and decided to go outside for a shoot and finished it quick so we didn't melt. Beautiful setting and beautiful friends make for an awesome set! So glad I got to take photos of this little family before one of them moves away to school...So exciting to start new beginnings!
